William P. GRIST one of the old residents of this city died at his home on 311 W. Market Street yesterday morning after only a short illness. Mr. Grist was 84 but had been in remarkable good health almost up to the time of his death. He was born in Ohio in 1831 but has spent many years of his life in this city. Those surviving are: Mrs. RB Hoff of Los Angeles and Mrs. Nat Vance of this city. There are four sons: Frank M of Denver; Edward T. of Lincoln; William H and Charles W both of this city. The funeral will be from the home Thursday afternoon at 2:30. The services will be in charge of Rev. CB Stanford of Trinity ME Church. --typed by kbz
